Update to All Clients – COVID-19 – How we will continue to work and support you

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night and guidance sent to all Estate Agency businesses this morning via Propertymark, we have been advised that the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have stated that agents are not “essential businesses” under the new rules and therefore their view is that agents should close their offices immediately. They have stated there should not be any in-person viewings, routine inspections or house moves.  In a further development, British Association of Removers (BAR) has issued communications this morning instructing members that moves should only be completed if they are already underway, any move that has not yet started, should not go ahead. Propertymark will keep members up to date later today and as any further information becomes available.

As a boutique, hybrid Agency, we are already at the forefront of offering clients full on-line services and can function as normal, with the exception of any physical viewing or valuation appointments.  During this time, we can still deal with general enquires from all the major property Portals including Rightmove,  Zoopla and this website.  We can still fully monitor and help progress the sale of any properties with sales currently underway.  Both Donna and I are always available via email and telephone.  As usual, we will be working alongside solicitors who are also able to work remotely to progress sales transactions as far as possible during this time, the only delays will be survey appointments and actual move-in/completion dates.
